Formed by a seasoned heavy metal touring musician, Alchemy fuses the timeless energy of classic rock with a modern twist. Drawing inspiration from the 80s, 90s, and 2000s, they electrify audiences with anthemic hits from multiple decades, elevating each performance with soaring harmonies and infectious energy.
Alchemy was born out of a desire to create something that blends the past with the present, the band was formed as a way for the musicians to return to their roots—reconnecting with the music that shaped his journey while embracing the excitement of a new chapter. With a hard-hitting rhythm and unforgettable stage presence, this band is a force to be reckoned with, blending nostalgia with innovation for a truly explosive musical experience.

Musicians Origins
Steve Handel - Lead Singer, Guitarist. Steve is a life-long musician, starting at the age of 12, a farm boy from Menno South Dakota who fell in love with the heavy metal of the 80's & 90's. Steve has played in many cover bands over the years but his opus was the original heavy metal band, Seventh Calling who performed with Ratt, Quiet Riot, Warlock, McAuley Schenker Group, etc...... While he has called Las Vegas, and Minneapolis home, he is back in Sioux Falls for a few more years and enjoying rocking the crowds with multiple LIVE music projects.
Tom Engel - Drummer extraordinaire that brings years of successful Arena Rock concert experience. A passionate lover of Hamm's Beer - Tom never stops letting the drum sticks roll. His iconic "ANIMAL" is the reminder to let loose and have a lot of fun. *Note watch out for flying sticks - Animal style!
Dave Sherman - Bassist / Backing vocals. Dave brings years of experience to the group rounding out the low end power section .
Mike S.-Lead Guitar/Lead Vocals. Mike has worked with many projects over the years, notably, Seventh Calling. Having crafted his guitar style with tons of stage experience, he brings a powerful edge to the sound of Alchemy.
